Assembly Technician Level 1

Pay: $24.00/hr.+

Job Description

This role involves assembling mechanical components and products based on engineering drawings and specifications. Technicians use hand and power tools, perform quality checks, and document production activities to ensure standards are met. Responsibilities include interpreting technical instructions, packaging finished products, maintaining a clean workspace aligned with 6S standards, following safety protocols, and working both independently and collaboratively. Assemblers handle large electro-mechanical components, including metal frames, piping, wiring harnesses, and cooling modules.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools.
• Conduct quality checks and document production activities.
• Package components and final products.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace aligned with 6S standards.
• Adhere to all safety protocols.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and quality checks.
• Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate or degree preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly.

Work Environment

Work on the 1st shift from 6:30am to 3:00pm in a clean and well-lit environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
