JOB DESCRIPTION
Assembler/Fabricator
The assembler plays a crucial role in system assembly, system fabrication, technical application of builds, machining, and quality assurance. This position is essential in ensuring that all mechanical assemblies are executed according to technical drawings and standards, maintaining the high quality and functionality of our systems.
Responsibilities
- System Assembly: Assemble specific jobs as per technical drawings and documents, and validate the proper function of mechanical assemblies.
- System Fabrication: Provide fabrication services on the shop floor, ensuring production schedules are met and shift focus as needed to complete custom fabrications.
- Technical Application of Build: Uphold quality control by reviewing technical documents and providing feedback on mechanical design to ensure proper functionality.
- Machining: Perform basic mechanical machining, including drilling, grinding, tapping, cutting, and altering, using materials such as PVC/CPVC and 316SS.
- QAQC/Technical Document Support: Ensure accuracy of builds and document necessary changes, maintaining cleanliness and material control.
Essential Skills
- Experience with mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Welding experience.
- Experience in HVAC.
- Experience with metal tubing fabrication.
Work Environment
The work environment is very clean, well-lit, and spacious, with distinct areas for panel building and mechanical assembly. Recently expanded by 10,000 square feet, the facility supports a wide range of specialty water treatment programs with comprehensive product and service offerings.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roselle, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
