At Janicki we work on complex parts and assemblies for aerospace and space exploration markets.Weekend Day Shift Hours: 5:30 am - 6:00 pm Friday - SundayThere is a $3.00 shift differential for weekend day shift.Work 36 hours get paid for 40 hours.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThis position is located on-site in Layton Utah.Join our team as a Production Technicianand put your skills to work in a dynamic hands-on manufacturing environment. Youll perform a variety of processescomposite fabrication resin infusion assembly mill operations metrology oven processing and waterjet cuttingwhile applying your NDI Level II expertise to set up and calibrate inspection equipment interpret results and ensure compliance with industry codes standards and specifications. Your precision and technical knowledge will help us deliver high-quality products that meet the most demanding requirements.The following essential job functions are performed as a Production Technician:Reads interprets and follows pass downs work orders isometric drawings blueprints work instructions and other technical and non-technical documentsAssemble and fit aircraft structural parts and subassembliesPerform test fit and gap checks with high tolerancesPerforms countersinking activitiesPerform structural adhesive bonding preparation per product specifications and compliance programsAlign fit assemble connect or install system components using jigs fixtures measuring instruments hand tools or power toolsAdjust repair rework or replace parts and assembliesLayout and mark reference pointsKeeps work orders stamped dated and organizedVacuum bagging in order to prepare parts for drop tests de-bulking fabric and infusionPerforms tabbing operations to work order specificationsGeneral sanding and finish work using grinders and sandpaper as neededMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly FOD free conditionPackages and crates parts for shipment including shrink wrappingHas knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools for assembly components per verbal written and drawing requirementsMust work well under pressure meeting and completing multiple deadlinesMust be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the jobPerforms other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a)(3).EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEMinimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GEDThree years (3) of professional assembly experience in complex assembly and aircraft frame assembly/maintenance preferredPrior experience in composite or fiberglass fabrication and repair is preferredDemonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspectionsMust have the ability to read understand and follow work orders written procedures blueprints drawings and other technical documentsMust have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English languageADDITIONAL INFORMATION Wage range for this role is between $20 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus 401(k) matching vacation and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts off-site work and access pay. The range provided is Janickis estimate of the base compensation for this role.
