Assembly Line / Mold Maker In Hodges, SC

2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 2-10:30pm Pay $16.25 per hour 3rd Shift: Sun-Thurs 10pm-6:30am Pay $17.00 per hour
Job Summary:
As an Assembly Line / Mold Maker you will perform a variety of manual and/or machine functions related to core making such as dipping, inspecting, and assembling (3 or less) cores. You will also operate and/or lock out equipment to clean molding floor and reclaim or dispose of sand in basement levels.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Core box mounting
- Mixing and testing core sand
- Bolt threading
- Molding functions such as preparing pouring basins
- Mold spraying, drying and/or venting
- Operating punch-out and related equipment
- Performs melting functions such as sample taking, slag skimming
- Finishing functions such as riser breaking (floor)
- Hand chipping, finning, and wire pulling
- Operates shakeouts, stand and portable grinders
- Ramblast and de-finning machines
Basic Qualifications:
- Two years of prior work experience
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations):
- Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand throughout a 10-hour shift
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment
Top candidates will also have:
- 6 months of foundry experience in molding or backend (finishing) operations
- Previous machine shop, foundry, or manufacturing experience
- Computer skills
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Problem solving and decision-making
- Math skills
Education Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
