Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible with the ultimate goal ofenabling human life on Mars.ASSEMBLY MACHINIST DEBURR (STARSHIP) - 2ND SHIFTRESPONSIBILITIES: Interpret drawings per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard to maintain part specificationsDeburr and process machined valve components in post machiningChase machine cut threads to size if necessaryPolish tight tolerance surface finishes and inspect with profilometerWash parts that have gone through deburr process and passivate using citric passivation process when requiredAssist with material inventory and prep for machining processesOperate a mass finishing barrel tumbler using given recipes for specific parts and materialsMeet expectations for productivity and production goalsMaintain a clean and efficient work environmentConstantly keep products moving and alert management when production is inhibitedProvide continuous ideas for process improvementsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate1 years of professional work experience in a factory/production environment or the completion of a machining certificationPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:2 years of deburr experience using various deburr techniques using manual and automated equipmentExperience working in a machine shopExperience with basic blueprint readingKnowledge of CNC machiningExperience using various measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers profilometers and borescopesADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to work 2nd shift. Estimated start time: 2:30 PM.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted repetitive movement bending or twisting using hands to handle control or feel objects tools or controls exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting exposure to typical shop chemicals (coolant solvents cleaners) are generally required to perform the functions of this positionCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:Pay range:Level 1: $22.00 - $24.00/hourLevel 2: $24.00 - $27.00/hourLevel 3: $26.50 - $30.00/hourYour actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
