Job Description

Position SummaryPerforms a variety of operations to assemble and make major assembly structures such as doors and mechanisms and structural subassemblies such as rudders flaps and stabilizers. Aligns parts on jigs using templates and fixtures. Performs minor part-fitting operations such as filing sawing burring crimping trimming framing riveting drilling and reaming. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.Reporting StructureThe Assembly Mechanic will report to the Associate Assembly Operations ManagerShift SchedulesMonday-Friday 6am-2:30pmorMonday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm with a $2.50 per hour shift differentialPrimary ResponsibilitiesLayout parts per Manufacturing Orders and drawings and verity quantities and assembly instructionsPull tools jigs templates and fixtures for setups and replace when completePackage and box assemblies for shipment per work orders and customer specificationsOperate designated machines and hand tools as required and/or instructed by supervisionFamiliarize oneself with Primus Assembly Processes and Procedures including applicable Business Quality Management System (BQMS) procedures as applicableKnowledge & SkillsRiveting nutplate installations bonding bushing and bearing installations under supervision and instructionBlueprint reading and basic math skillsGeneral Tier II level aerospace assembly concepts and proceduresFamiliarity with computer-based MRP data entryGood manual dexterity with ability to maintain close tolerancesCapable of using a variety of manufacturing tools and measuring devicesBasic English language skills and ability to read follow and interpret planning and work order instructionsAbility to professionally communicate and work cooperatively with othersGood attention to detailWillingness to learnEducation & ExperienceHighschool or equivalentEntry Level to 1 year experience Key Skills Quality Analysis,Facility,ISO,Inventory Levels,Root cause Analysis,Shift operations,General Maintenance,Daily Operations,Supervision,Analysis,PLC,Safety Standards,Quality Standards,Time management skills,Troubleshooting Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
