Join our team where your expertise can make a true impact!The asset protection officer will maintain vigilant oversight of gate access and operational control room via security camera systems. Safeguard personnel company property and assets. Ensure a secure environment including managing critical emergency situations.Assume primary accountability for the safety and security of designated areasConduct thorough patrols of assigned zones in strict adherence to established security protocolsProactively identify potential security threats and implement appropriate countermeasuresMeticulously document all security incidents through comprehensive incident reports and required documentationRigorously enforce proper credential verification for all employees and visitors accessing facilities (ID badges and passes)Swiftly respond to emergencies and incidents within designated areas strictly adhering to established policies and proceduresProvide professional assistance to employees and visitors addressing concerns with utmost seriousnessInitiate immediate escalation of emergency situations to External Emergency Agencies when necessaryMaintain constant vigilance in monitoring alarm systems and surveillance camerasConduct mandatory Drug & Alcohol testing for all employees contractors and visitors entering the premisesImplement and oversee critical Emergency Training programs including the execution of drills and evacuation proceduresQualifications : High school diploma or GED; minimum age 21 yearsAbility to pass background checks and obtain South Carolina security guard license (through South Carolina Law Enforcement Division); valid Drivers License requiredExcellent communication skills and proficiency in security techniques; ability to handle high-stress situationsPhysical capability to perform sustained activities occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work 12-hour rotating shiftsWillingness to work in surface mine plant setting with extreme conditions; strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirementsAdditional Information : WHATS ON OFFER:Competitive salary quarterly bonusComprehensive benefits package including health vision and dental insurance 401K and moreGreat residential location close to Charlotte SC and is located between the mountains and sea.Living Our Values recognition programPaid training available and professional developmentSupportive work environment with a focus on safety and teamworkAccess to OceanaGold Employee Assistance Program (EAP) YOU MATTER: OceanaGold is committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
