This position is responsible for developing, writing, and implementing procedures that guide study operations, ensuring that all activities align with grant objectives and institutional policies. The manager will leverage advanced skills in grant project direction, student support, and program administration to coordinate research efforts, monitor milestones, and maintain compliance with IRB and regulatory standards.Key responsibilities include facilitating communication between clinical and technical teams, assisting clinicians with participant recruitment, and ensuring the successful execution of study goals. The Research Program Manager will also oversee and train study personnel, foster a collaborative and productive team environment, and promote workforce engagement and professional development.Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience:Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.Preferred Qualifications:Higher education professional with extensive experience in grantadministration, academic program coordination, and studentengagement, particularly within the University of South Carolinasystem.Proven track record in managing large-scale, multi-site, researchinitiatives, facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration, and supportingboth faculty and student teams.Expertise in grant logistics, data management, and stakeholdercommunications will ensure the project’s strategic priorities are metacross all budget years.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of developing, writing, and executing procedures to guide study operationsAbility to follow written and verbal instructions, and work independently.Knowledge of equipment, data analysis, professional clinical processes, or other specific areas related to the field of research.Ability to analyze and interpret data using inferential techniques.Ability to present informationeffectively.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships withothers.Job Duty:Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations for both aims of the grant, ensuring effective communication and workflow between engineering and participant teams.
