Apply now and help us keep making a splash one swimmer at a time.Job Description:Position Title:Assistant Aquatics Manager-Position open until filled with a qualified candidate.Reports To:Aquatics Lead/IntegratorStatus:Part-Time (20 hours/week + supplemental in-business hours up to 40 hours)Compensation:$20$25 per hour, based on experience and qualificationsWork Schedule:Evenings and weekends required; schedule subject to approval by Aquatics Lead/Integrator and Owner/VisionaryPosition Summary:The Aquatics Support Specialist plays a key leadership-support role in the delivery of our swim programs. This position is ideal for a passionate and driven individual pursuing along-term careerin the aquatics industry. From mentoring coaches to coordinating operations and engaging directly with families, you'll help shape a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where swimmers and staff thrive. More specifically, we continuously train our coaches, partner with our families, and actively engage with our community.As a business committed to social and environmental responsibility, we uphold the highest standards of transparency, sustainability, and integrity, ensuring that our impact extends beyond the pool to create lasting value for all.Our policy is to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified persons without regard to race, creed, color, religious belief, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, physical or mental disability, or veteran status.Our Core Values:-Consistently Care- Do the Right Thing- Play with a PurposeKey Responsibilities: Mentor and support Aquatics, Sales, and Sweet Peas ( educational gymnastics) staff through ongoing training and guidance Serve in leadership roles such as Head Coach, Sales, MOD (Manager on Duty), and in-water coach as needed Assist with staff scheduling, certification tracking, milestone recognition, and parent communications Support planning and facilitation of Aquatics and All-Staff meetings Maintain communication with staff, families, and guests via email, phone, and in person Manage various administrative duties including data tracking, coach photo displays, and record-keeping Contribute to curriculum and team coordination through tools like Google ClassroomCareer Growth & Professional Development: Ongoing leadership development and mentorship from experienced aquatics directors and the Owner Opportunities to advance into Aquatics Lead, Program Director, or Operations Manager roles Support for professional certifications such as: Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Lifeguard, Coaching development through organizations like ASCA, USSSA, Swim Angelfish, and E.O.S management style. Cross-training in Sales, Sweet Peas, Marketing, and Infant-ToddlerQualifications & Skills: Demonstrated leadership and coaching experience in aquatics or related fields such as Parks & Rec and/or Aquatics Bachelors degree or 3+ years of relevant experience Familiarity with SwimAmerica or a similar learn to swim curriculum preferred Basic knowledge of pool safety Lifeguard/ CPR/AED certifications preferred Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and registration systems Professional demeanor and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-centered environment Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and dependablePhysical Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crouch, and lift up to 30 lbs- In-water training will be required for Standard, Infant-Toddler and Adaptive Swim- Work is conducted in a warm, humid indoor pool environment with strict safety protocolsOrganizational Relationships:Regular contact with the Leadership Team (Owner/Visionary, Integrator, Aquatics Lead, Sales Lead, Sweet Peas Lead, Marketing Lead), MODs, swim coaches, sales team, families, and community partnersNote:This job description outlines the general nature of work expected and does not include every task or responsibility.
