Title: Assistant Associate or Full Professor of Medicine - Infectious DiseasesDepartment Org: Medicine - 107570Employee Classification: A1 - Faculty Full Time 12 Mth HSCBargaining Unit:Bargaining Unit ExemptPrimary Location: Health Science Campus CollegeShift:1Job Description:The Department of Medicine is seeking a qualified and motivated Assistant Associate or Full Professor of Medicine specializing in Infectious Diseases (ID). This faculty member will provide exceptional direct patient care contribute to the academic mission through teaching and mentorship and participate in service aligned with the Departments goals. Opportunities for engaging in research are actively supported and encouraged.Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality evidence-based care in Infectious Diseases in collaboration with the multidisciplinary ID healthcare team.Participate in inpatient infectious diseases consultations at two clinical sites. Weekend and daily coverage are distributed among separate teams.Conduct inpatient rounding with ID teams including advanced practice providers (APPs) residents medical students and fellows.Provide outpatient consultations and follow-up care in the General Infectious Diseases clinic both independently and while supervising ID fellows.Engage in medical education by teaching medical students residents and ID fellows.
