Job Description:The Department of Surgery at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is seeking an Assistant Associate or Full Professor in the Division of Vascular Surgery who is either board-certified or board-eligible in Vascular Surgery. This position will assist the department with patient care clinical activities and education. The Division of Vascular Surgery provides medical services to the community of NW Ohio and SE Michigan for all types of vascular diseases through different therapies and treatments. With an accredited Vascular Laboratory on hand the division continues to collaborate and actively engage in clinical and basic research opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of vascular diseases. Responsibilities:Participate in all Vascular clinical services provided by the University of Toledo Physicians including floor work surgery endovascular procedures consultations and clinics as needed.Provide Vascular Call coverage.Completes medical records coding and billing schedules and forms and other needed paperwork in a timely fashion.Assist in the training and development of medical student and residents.Participate in research meetings and education activities within the division of VascularSurgery and the Department of SurgeryMinimum Qualifications:Ohio Medical License and DEAGraduate of a Vascular Surgery programEndovascular trainingBoard-certified or board-eligible in Vascular SurgeryGraduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalentBenefits:Retirement Benefits including two pension plansUTP has a pension plan with employer contribution.UT Academic pensionEligibility for health dental vision and life insurance coverage through the University of ToledoPaid time off paid parental and maternity leaveUT provides a Tuition Fee Waiver Program for Employees and DependentsLong Term and Short-Term DisabilityUTP opts out of FICA reducing the employees payroll taxesAbout Toledo Ohio:The city of Toledo is located in NW Ohio near the western point of Lake Erie and along the Maumee River.
