Job Description

Position DescriptionThis position works closely with the Branch Manager to provide leadership and management for a branch team ensuring profitability growth and sound operations. This position is responsible for driving branch teammates to provide a best-in-class client experience while assisting new and existing clients through needs-based conversations to generate loans deposits and other banking solutions to meet their immediate short-term and long-term financial needs.Position AccountabilitiesGrow the branch through new client acquisition as well as retention and expansion of existing clients relationshipsProvide excellent customer experience through needs based conversationsDevelop and implement business plan to meet branch sales goals in partnership with Branch ManagerBuild partnerships with all line of business partners to meet bank-wide objectivesIdentify and close sales opportunities to contribute to personal and branch goalsIdentify customer lending needs and deliver appropriate consumer and business lending solutionsDrive sales outreach strategies including outbound callingCoach train and develop branch team through formal observations and coaching sessionsManage teammate performance development processTogether with the Branch Manager interview and hire teammates to fulfill branch staffing needsManage complex operational functions including approving transactions branch security internal controls and ensure operational integrityPromote and represent the bank through community involvement during and after business hoursAnalyze reports identify risk and respond and coach accordinglyDevelop maintain and apply knowledge of bank products and services including those provided by other lines of businessMaintain proficiency and educate teammates on products services and digital capabilities (e.g. Zoom DocuSign Kronos and Gro).Promote the branchs overall growth through the development and retention of customer relationshipsProvide excellent customer experience through needs-based conversationsDevelop and implement business strategy to meet and exceed branch growth goalsBuild collaborative relationships with all line of business partners to meet bank-wide objectivesIdentify and close sales opportunities to contribute to personal branch goalsUncover and provide solutions to complex business and consumer lending needsManage teammate performance development processManage branch cash expectations and operational soundnessAnalyze reports and respond and coach accordinglyAdhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations including compliance with Union BanksharesOther duties as assignedOrganizational RelationshipThis position reports to the Business Branch Manager.Position QualificationsEducation & ExperiencePossess or be able to obtain NMLS registrationAssociates Degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelors Degree preferredThree years previous sales and customer service experience requiredPrevious lending or financial services industry experience requiredSupervisory experience strongly preferredKnowledge & Skills In depth knowledge of retail banking and lending practicesExcellent customer service skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to coach and develop othersAbility to exercise sound business judgmentDemonstrate financial acumenKnowledge of risk management and loss preventionHighly skilled in digital channel technology and ability to educate customersProficient computer skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks with attention to detailsFlexible able to adapt to changeShifts may vary for each position offering depending on business needAble to stand for extended periods of time and lift objects up to 30 poundsSalary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education work experience certifications etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
