Hunton Distribution a division of Hunton Group in Houston TX () is seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Manager to lead the daily operations sales and performance of a local HVAC distribution branch. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership business acumen and customer relationship skills to ensure profitability operational excellence and sustained growth. This position requires a balance of strategic planning team development and hands-on involvement in day-to-day branch activities.Come work for an industry leader that has been recognized both locally and nationally as one of Top Places to Work!Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead coach and develop branch personnel to foster a culture of accountability teamwork and customer focus.Conduct regular performance evaluations mentor staff and identify training opportunities to promote professional growth.Create and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.Promote a positive safe and engaging work environment aligned with company values.Operations ManagementOversee all aspects of branch operations including sales inventory customer service and administrative functions.Ensure accurate and efficient order processing billing inventory control and replenishment.Utilize data and performance metrics to monitor branch effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.Maintain compliance with company policies safety procedures and operational standards.Sales & Customer RelationsDrive branch sales performance and market share growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies.Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers contractors and vendors to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.Partner with Territory Managers to share market insights identify new opportunities and respond to pricing and competitive trends.Support the sales team in achieving targets through guidance coaching and collaborative planning.Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and professionally ensuring positive outcomes.Financial & Strategic ManagementDevelop and manage annual business plans budgets and forecasts for the branch.Maintain full P&L accountability ensuring financial goals and profitability targets are achieved.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide decision-making and improve overall efficiency.Collaborate with regional and corporate leadership to align branch strategies with broader organizational goals.Community & Vendor EngagementRepresent the company professionally in the community and at industry events.Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors suppliers and partners to identify growth opportunities and resolve issues.Participate in company meetings conferences and training sessions to stay informed of new products services and market developments. QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelors degree in Business Administration Management or a related field preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).35 years of experience in HVAC mechanical or industrial distribution strongly preferred.Minimum 2 years of proven management or supervisory experience.Skills & CompetenciesStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving abilities.Strategic thinker with strong business and financial acumen.Solid understanding of HVAC products systems and market trends.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems (such as Eclipse or Solar) is a plus.Demonstrated ability to analyze data identify trends and implement effective business solutions.High integrity professionalism and customer service orientation.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Additional RequirementsFlexibility for minimal travel as business needs require.Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends to support branch operations or customer needs.Required Experience:Manager Key Skills AS400,Lean,Management Experience,Maximo,Warehouse Management,Warehouse Experience,Warehouse Distribution Experience,Warehouse Management System,Copywriting,Leadership Experience,Supervising Experience,Logistics Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
