Our licensed center supports families by fostering growth, learning, and curiosity through high-quality care, nutritious meals, and play-based learning aligned with Connecticuts Early Learning and Development Standards.We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and qualified Assistant Center Director to lead our early childhood program. The ideal candidate will meet all Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) licensing requirements and bring strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and a deep commitment to excellence in early childhood education.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of the center, ensuring compliance with CT OEC licensing standardsSupervise, support, and evaluate teaching and support staffBuild and maintain positive relationships with families, children, staff, and the communityManage enrollment, budgeting, and administrative tasksIncrease enrollment through community outreach, marketing, center tours, and participation in local events, fairs, and family-oriented programsEnsure health, safety, and nutrition standards are met (including coordination of on-site meal planning and preparation)Conduct regular staff meetings and training sessionsMaintain records and documentation as required by state regulationsQualifications:Must meet Connecticut OEC qualifications for Center Director:Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required)At least 3 years of experience in an early childhood setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership roleKnowledge of Connecticut childcare licensing regulations and NAEYC standardsCPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to manage a team and build a positive center cultureCertificate or Familiarity with food safety guidelines and meal planning in childcare settings (preferred)We Offer:Competitive salary based on experience and credentialsPaid time off and holidaysHealth Insurance & BenefitsOngoing professional development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environmentFree or discounted childcare (if applicable)
