Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:The J is hiring enthusiastic and knowledgeable Assistant Baseball Coaches for our advanced teams.Our assistant coaches will provide instruction and impart their knowledge of the game to young players ages 8-12. The J’s Baseball instructional program emphasizes skill development, self-discipline, and safety and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player is required. ScheduleWe are hiring reliable part-time staff to assist with practice/training sessions on weeknights and to help coach games/tournaments on weekends, with a chance of weeknight games. BenefitsPay $26-$30 per 90 minute sessionFree individual membership to The J, Fitness Center, Aquatics and moreEssential FunctionsLead and assist coach with baseball drills at practices and assistant coach in games for ages 8-12Help set up and tear down equipmentSupervise children ages 8 to 12 years oldProvides positive communication and reinforces the coaches directionRequirements:Experience working with children preferredExperience as a coach/player is preferredKnowledge of baseball and its rulesAble to work a flexible scheduleMust have reliable transportationPhysical RequirementsConstant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoorsFrequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skillsOccasional lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. to move equipment as neededAbout The JThe J is committed to creating a diverse environment.
