Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Goddard School located in Fort Wayne is seeking a Cook. The Goddard School is a leader in child care and provides high-quality early childhood education. We believe in education and fun!Candidates must be able to create and manage a budget, prepare menus, and calculate portions. Experience is needed to prepare lunch and snacks following nutritional guidelines for preschool-age children.The Cook is responsible for duties as outlined by the hiring manager, including, but not limited to, the following:Managing the food budgetEnsuring the safe handling and preparation of all foodPreparing a menu that includes healthy lunch and snack selections, serving breakfastEnsuring that menus are in compliance with state and federal regulations at all timesMaintaining appropriate portion sizesOrdering food and paper productsAssisting in other areas as assignedJob RequirementsMust clear state required background checks and drug screenApplicants should be patient, courteous, and professional with the children, parents, and co-workersServSafe Certified
