Position Overview

As the ADON, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily clinical operations, supporting nursing staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work side-by-side with the Director of Nursing to drive quality initiatives, mentor staff, and maintain excellence in resident care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of the nursing department alongside the DON
  • Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff to ensure strong clinical performance
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing team members
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct audits, chart reviews, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team collaboration
  • Step in as acting DON as needed

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and survey readiness
  • Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN preferred
  • Experience in infection control, staff development, or quality improvement
