Join Our Leadership Team
Haven of Bridgeport is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our nursing leadership team. This position may be filled by a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with long-term care leadership experience.
Working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), the ADON plays a key role in supporting clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing nursing staff, and promoting a culture of quality care and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will:
Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee the daily operations of the nursing department.
Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing services while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to support and enhance the facility's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
Help prepare for state surveys and regulatory inspections while maintaining ongoing survey readiness.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff to promote clinical excellence and professional growth.
Assist with staffing oversight, scheduling support, and nursing department operations as needed.
Monitor clinical documentation, resident care plans, and nursing practices to ensure quality outcomes.
Support resident admissions, discharges, and care coordination.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on resident-centered care and employee engagement.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Illinois.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting required.
Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Working knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for mentoring staff and delivering exceptional resident care.
