Assistant Director of Nursing at The Adecco Group
Job Description
Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
Skilled Nursing / High-Acuity Rehab
Full-Time | On-Site
If you’re an RN leader who prefers being on the floor instead of behind a desk, this role is worth a conversation. We’re partnering with one of the largest nursing and rehabilitation networks in the Northeast. An organization founded by a former EMT that grew from one Bronx facility into a leading high-acuity SNF system. They specialize in complex cases that other facilities often can’t handle, including ventilator, dialysis, and cardiac recovery patients.
Why This ADON Role Is Different
You’re Not Alone.
Each facility is supported by a dedicated Regional Nurse Consultant whose sole focus is clinical guidance and survey preparation. Leadership is backed, not isolated.
Decisions Move Fast.
Privately owned structure means fewer layers and faster approvals. If you need equipment, staffing adjustments, or protocol updates to protect patient care, action happens quickly.
Real Clinical Environment.
These buildings manage specialized respiratory and dialysis units. This is hands-on clinical leadership.
What You’ll Do
• Partner with the DON to oversee daily nursing operations
• Maintain continuous DOH/CMS survey readiness
• Lead, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Jump in when the floor needs support
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and labor oversight
• Participate in QAPI initiatives and quality metric tracking
• Support care planning for high-acuity populations
What You Bring
• Active RN license
• 3–5+ years in Skilled Nursing / LTC
• Prior leadership experience (Unit Manager, RN Supervisor, ADON)
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and MDS
• Comfort leading in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
• PCC or SigmaCare experience preferred
This is an ideal next step for a strong Unit Manager ready for executive growth or an ADON seeking an organization that values speed, clinical depth, and real support.
If you’re ready to anchor your team and lead in a high-acuity setting, let’s connect.
