JOB DESCRIPTION
Executive Director, Assistant

Key Responsibilities
• Administrative Functions
• Hires, trains, supervises, motivates, and evaluates clinical managers to ensure that the highest quality of care is provided for residents.
• Works directly with the RN and Executive Director to plan and assign work duties and assignments for the clinical managers.
• Monitors the day-to-day work provided by the clinical managers; supervising, critiquing, suggesting, and educating the staff on proper work standards.
• Coordinates the flow of information with the clinical managers in conjunction with the R.N. to develop procedures that assist in eliminating the opportunity for medication errors to occur.
• Coordinates the medication pass to the residents, supervising the clinical managers, and providing education as necessary.
• Completes initial paperwork on all new admissions and routinely audits resident charts to ensure paperwork is complete and filed correctly.
• Coordinates the residents’ move-in and orients new residents to the community.
• Facilitates and coordinates the discharge process for all residents who are being discharged from the Community. This includes assisting the residents, family, and other healthcare provided to make this transition as easy as possible.
• Assures all clinical quality assurance is completed weekly, monthly ect.
Qualifications & Skills
• Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the residents.
• Must be able to read, write and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, surveyors and the general public.
• Must have thorough knowledge of State regulations mandated by the state in which the assisted living community operates, the survey process, and quality measures.
• Must be knowledgeable of reimbursement regulations and senior care practices and procedures as well as laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to nursing facilities.
• Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures. necessary for providing quality care and maintaining a sound operation.
• Must be familiar with laws, regulations and guidelines governing personnel administration.
