Every day our community of students families teachers and staff comes together to learn work and play in an environment grounded in our values of Bienestar (Well-Being) Culture of Belonging Community Partnership Agency & Self-Determination and Joy.JOB SUMMARYThe Assistant Expanded Learning Site Director (AExLD) supports the planning and operations of a high-quality personalized afterschool education and enrichment program for students. The Assistant Expanded Learning Site Director (AExLD) is responsible to assist the Expanding Learning Site Director in carrying out all administrative components of the After School Program including attendance payroll and other reporting communicating with parents overseeing volunteers ordering supplies maintaining files and providing other logistical and clerical support to the After School Director as needed.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSExpanding Learning School Program Daily Operations:Maintains accurate student records including attendance and submits reports in accordance with Aspire proceduresEnsures compliance with all safety and other regulatory and/or funder requirementsOpens and closes the program in the absence of the After School DirectorFacilitates regular communications with parents/families about student attendance and behavior as well as broader family engagement in the After School ProgramAssists in compiling and analyzing student performance data conducting assessments and other data management as needed to support staff in delivering high-quality instructionProvides occasional classroom small group or individualized instruction as needed to support regular program operationsProvides other logistical and clerical support to the After School Director as neededTeam Leadership:Creates an environment of high expectations for learning student behavior and staff professionalismFosters a program culture of high expectations that includes college preparation for all studentsDevelops and supports student behavior management systems and procedures to ensure all students are fully engaged in learningOversees selected tutoring staff contractors and volunteers as neededAdditional:Demonstrate knowledge and support of Aspire Public Schools mission vision and value statements including antiracism policies and procedures operating instructions confidentiality standards and the code of ethical behaviorPerform other related duties as required and assignedQUALIFICATIONSCompetencies:Strong organizational and administration skills including ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities and deadlinesProficiency in use of computer technology and the internet including MS Word and ExcelDemonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and to facilitate teamwork to complete complex projectsStrong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders including parents teachers and community partnersKnowledge of child and/or youth development concepts and different learning styles; demonstrated enthusiasm for working with young peopleAbility and willingness to reflect and improve own performance including developing knowledge of Aspire Instructional Guidelines and participating in Aspire professional developmentSpanish bilingual preferredMinimum educational level:Associates degree or successful completion of 48 units of college credit required.
