LOCATION:

  • Denton, TX 76207

PAY:

  • $49,000 - $52,000/year

SCHEDULE:

  • Monday-Friday
  • Occasional weekends/overtime

ABOUT THE POSITION

  • Responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing day cabs, sprinter vans and spotter trucks
  • Inspect and identify worn or damaged parts and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle systems
  • Knowledge of air brake systems
  • Knowledge of spotter trucks and A/C systems is a plus
  • Will be moving between four locations in the Dallas area
  • The technician must possess their own basic set of hand tools
  • Must have basic computer knowledge
  • A willingness to learn and grow as a mechanic is essential
  • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, able to work independently
  • Maintain a dependable work ethic and consistent attendance
  • Maintain and organize company-provided work van
  • Respond to after-hours service calls in situations when vehicles cannot be down
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a mechanic

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
  • Proven knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Paccar and Cummins Engines
  • Working knowledge of Allison and Eaton Transmissions
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Strong knowledge of air brake systems
  • Ability to inspect and identify worn or damaged parts/equipment
  • Must possess own basic set of hand tools
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to work some after-hours as needed
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
