Raines has maintained a family-oriented culture that believes in building relationships with our associates with our partners and within the communities where we operate.We offer comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision benefits 401K a generous PTO program and the opportunity to join a winning culture recognized for rewarding our best with opportunities to advance their career within the company.Job Summary:The Assistant General Manager helps the General Manager to ensure the day-to-day business operations run smoothly.Essential Job FunctionsOversee the day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel staff; assist the General Manager in the development and communication of departmental strategies and goals.Communicate and enforce policies and proceduresRecommend and/or initiate salary disciplinary or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with Company rules and policies. Alert General Manager of potential issuesEnsure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functionsSupervise staff in multiple departments as neededUse company-wide tools systems and applications without exceptionProvide hands-on support for front office operationsEnsure accounts receivables are updated and invoices are sent and reconciled weekly. Follow-up with customer payments to ensure proper credit to accounts and escalate customer non-payment issues immediatelyFront office revenue and reservation functions to ensure the delivery of superior guest services the security of monies credit card transactions and guest information and that established goals are achievedEnsure a safe and secure environment for guests employees and hotel assetsRespond to guest inquiries to include complaintsReport incidents to the appropriate people to include HR Insurance RDO etcMaintain a proactive human resources function to ensure positive employee relations training and development wage/benefit administration and compliance with policies and procedures and labor regulationsMake recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyaltyExperience and Education:Prior Assistant General Manager Front Office Manager or Operations Manager experienceProficient in Microsoft 365 or similar computer applicationsExperience with brands PMS and Point of Sales systemsMinimum High school diploma GED or equivalentBachelors degree in Business Administration Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major preferredRaines is proud to be an Equal Opportunity EmployerWe are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
