Support the Senior Lunchroom Manager with office functions of a clerical nature in order to maintain updated work manuals and records and to provide a variety of required reports. Perform all duties of the Senior Lunchroom Manager in the absence of theSenior Lunchroom Manager Enforce state local federal and Board of Education sanitation standards and regulations so that equipment and work areas are clean food is properly handled and stored and dishes and other utensils are free of bacteria. Maintain tight control of inventory and storage supplies Perform related work as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:EXAMPLES OF REQUIRED KNOWLEDGES SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs).Knowledge of:elements of report preparation and writingbasics of supervisionbasic mathematics including use of fractions decimals and percentagesbasic computer skillsproblem solving techniquesinventory controlbasic English and English usagevolume food production including ordering supplies and commodities storing food and cookingterminology preparation equipment serving etc.general sanitation standards as they relate to food operationAbility to:prepare clear concise and accurate reports.communicate effectively both verbally and writing.oversee and participate in food production.supervise (train direct motivate resolve minor grievances and other personnel problems etc.).plan and organize work estimating requirements accurately and setting reasonable priorities.deal effectively with all types of people.read interpret convert and follow recipes.write legibly.perform basic arithmetic calculations including use of fractions decimals and percentages.keep work environment neat and orderly.work under pressure of time to complete schedules production changes etc.handle and account for moneys collected.learn computer functions for back of house: inventory payroll ordering email employee evaluations Google drive.Function effectively without close supervision.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have one year of experience in volume food preparation and service with any other school system (must have included cooking and/or in-charge responsibilities); OR one year of responsible paid work experience as a cook and/or manager in volume food preparation and service; OR successful completion of an accredited program in food management or equivalent. ODH Level 2 Food Manager Certification required within 1 year of hire.MILITARY EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE EVALUATION:Military education and experience may be substituted for college level course work at the lower and upper division baccalaureate and graduate levels and apprenticeship training at the vocational certificate level on a case by case basis based on the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide recommendations.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Indoor environment; exposure to heat high levels of noise slippery floors electrical appliances and sharp knives and other utensils. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing and walking for prolonged periods of time use of fingers and both hands hearing normal voice levels and seeing well. Personal cleanliness is essential. Each applicant must be able to lift 40 have a valid Drivers License.PROBATIONARY PERIOD:120 working days.EXAM DETAILS: EXAM DATE: TUESDAY JANUARY 13 2026 / TIME: TO BESET / LOCATION: TO BE SETSUBJECTS AND WEIGHTS OF TEST SECTIONS: The selection process is worth 100% of the exam grade and consists of an written exam. The passing score will be determined after the examination by the Civil Service Examiner together with the Secretary. Determination of the passing score will be based on the job analysis analysis of examination results consultation with subject matter experts or other professional methods.
