Little Blue Valley Sewer District, a public agency created in 1968, operates two wastewater treatment facilities in Jackson and Cass counties in western Missouri with offices located in Independence. EOE M/F/D/V ELECTRICIAN Completed high school or equivalent plus possess a certification of completion from an approved secondary education institution (technical college, university, etc.) with an electrical major, or emphasis. Minimum of three or more years of formal training and credible work experience. Documented relevant experience related to industrial electrical may be allowed to substitute for formal education. Documented experience with PLCs shall be favorably considered. Perform technical work on industrial electric power and control systems, computerized/programmable controls, electric equipment, panels, instruments, and related devices connected with wastewater conveyance, pumping and treatment processes. Work involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, re-programming, repairing, replacing, maintaining, new installation, testing, calibration and analysis of District infrastructure systems. Available to work extended hours (early arrival and/or late departure) when necessary for emergencies or when systems are inoperable and require continued efforts.
