St. Josephs Health has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician to serve as Assistant Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program at Rome Memorial Hospital, located in Rome, New York. This leadership opportunity involves a mix of clinical duties and administrative responsibilities in support of the Medical Director, working closely with hospitalist team members, nursing, and non-clinical staff to coordinate care for all admitted patients. The position averages 40-50 hours per week and offers the chance to influence the programs growth, efficiency, and quality of care. This is a 0.5 FTE clinical / 0.5 FTE administrative position, offering a balance of direct patient care and program leadership responsibilities. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: As Assistant Medical Director, the physician will assist the Medical Director in the following key areas:Ensuring hospitalist compliance with hospital policies, mission, and valuesSupporting quality and performance improvement initiativesParticipating in staffing, scheduling, and census managementProviding direct patient care as neededConducting regular meetings with hospitalists and APPsMentoring and coaching physicians on quality, communication, and professionalismCoordinating onboarding and orientation of new providersParticipating in evaluations and annual reviews of hospitalist team membersSupporting interdisciplinary collaboration with the Emergency Department and other clinical areasRepresenting the program on hospital committees and quality teamsAssisting with recruitment and operational goals including budgeting and documentation oversight RECRUITMENT PACKAGESt. Josephs Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes:Annual Salary range: $292K-325K depending on experienceStarting bonusMedical, dental, and vision coverageMalpractice insurancePaid time off and CME allowance403(b) and 457(b) retirement plansCompensation Information:$292000.00 / Annually - $325000.00 / Annually
