Internship OverviewWe are seeking a Summer 2026 Intern to join our POC team with a focus on Nuclear Power Generation systems and operations. This role is ideal for students pursuing nuclear engineering or related disciplines who want to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges in the energy sector. Interns will gain exposure to nuclear plant performance monitoring diagnostics and optimization strategies that support safe and efficient operations.Job Description Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in analyzing nuclear plant operational data to identify trends anomalies and optimization opportunities.Support the development of diagnostic tools and models for nuclear system monitoring.Collaborate with engineers to evaluate performance metrics safety margins and reliability indicators.Contribute to projects that enhance workflow automation and visualization systems for nuclear operations.Document findings and present project outcomes to the POC team and leadership.Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environmentPossess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environmentAll other duties as assigned QualificationsPursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Nuclear Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field.Familiarity with nuclear power systems reactor operations or energy generation fundamentals.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with interest in data-driven decision-making.Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python MATLAB C or similar) preferred.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly.Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
