We seek a dedicated and engaging educator who is passionate about undergraduate teaching mentorship and scholarship. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic and collaborative department that prepares students for graduate study and meaningful careers in biology and related fields with a focus on teaching Anatomy and Physiology courses. The Department of Biology values excellence in teaching diverse perspectives and service that makes a positive impact.Job Responsibilities:Responsible for teaching introductory biology courses including but not limited to BIOL 243 Intro to Human Anatomy BIOL 244 Human Physiology BIOL 343 Human Anatomy and BIOL 443 General PhysiologyAdvise and mentor students in academic and professional development.Contribute to curriculum design and departmental assessment.Serve Department and University committees.Maintain active engagement in scholarship and service within the field.Job Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree in biology or closely related fieldwith at least 18 hours of Biology coursework in Human Anatomy and PhysiologyExperience teaching college level biology courses particularly Human Anatomy and PhysiologyExperiencing using virtual lab software such as LabsterOngoing professional developmentCommitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and student-centered learning that is supportive of all learnersStrong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:PhD in Biology or doctoral degree in a closely related fieldExperience in developing online courses in BiologyExperience with a variety of pedagogical and technological educational delivery methodsCompensation:Commensurate with expertise and experienceBenefits:YesJob Type:FacultyJob Location: Williamsburg KYCumberlands is different by design.
