Youll help implement play-based learning activities, manage classroom routines, and provide individualized attention that supports each childs social, emotional, and cognitive development.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport daily routines including circle time, story time, snack, outdoor play, and rest timeAssist with lesson planning and curriculum implementation based on childrens developmental needs and interestsSupervise children during classroom transitions, group play, and hands-on activitiesMaintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with state licensing regulationsEncourage independence, self-help skills, and social interaction through positive guidance strategiesObserve and document childrens behavior and milestones for communication with families and the teaching teamProvide age-appropriate support for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, depending on assigned classroomCollaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive, inclusive early childhood learning environmentQualificationsPrevious experience in child care, preschool, daycare, or toddler education (preferred)Understanding of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic about working with young childrenStrong communication skills and a team-oriented mindsetAbility to multitask, follow classroom structure, and adapt to childrens needsHigh school diploma or GED requiredCDA or enrollment in Early Childhood Education courses (preferred but not required)Make a Difference Every DayIf youre ready to begin or grow your career in early childhood education and want to be part of a supportive school community that values your contributions, apply today to become an Assistant Preschool Teacher at LeafSpring Schools!
