Job Title: Assistant Professor, 9 Month Salaried (School of Communication) Location: Tallahassee, FL Regular/Temporary: Regular Full/Part Time: Full-Time Job ID: 61554 Department School of Communication | College of Communication & InformationResponsibilities Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the School of Communication (two courses per semester.)Conduct research in the areas of Science, Health, Environmental, or Risk Communication.Mentoring undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.Engage in service to the department (committees and doctoral student supervision), the university, and the profession. Qualifications Ph.D. in Communication or related field.Preferred Qualifications Expertise in mixed-methods or quantitative methods-in the areas of Science, Health, Environmental, or Risk Communication.Ideal candidates must be innovative and forward-thinking with a demonstration of excellence in teaching and a commitment to mentoring students.Successful candidates must have an established research program, including high impact publications and potential to pursue extramural funding, in the areas of Science, Health, Environmental, and/or Risk Communication.Successful candidates should be committed to interdisciplinary research, teaching, service, and public outreach.
