UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS - HOUSTON FACULTY POSITION IN FINANCE The University of St. Thomas (UST) - ( ) a private Catholic university in Houston Texas committed to the liberal arts and the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education invites applications from outstanding candidates for a faculty position in finance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Applicants should submit the following documents to be considered for the position:A terminal degree in FinanceA Cover letter addressing qualifications for the positionCurriculum Vitae (CV)A Statement of the Philosophy of teachingThree professional letters of recommendationGraduate and undergraduate transcriptsA reflective statement or response on Ex Corde Ecclesiae While a reflection on the entire document is welcome applicants may find it helpful to focus on how their teaching interests and background contribute to any of the four items listed in paragraph 13 regarding the essential characteristics of a Catholic university and/or paragraphs 15-19 regarding the character of research.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Candidates with teaching experience in the Master of Science in Finance and in the accreditation assessment process are strongly preferred. Familiarity with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) education curriculum is desirable. Candidates that are able to teach by integrating Catholic social teaching framework are also preferred. Additionally preferred qualifications include teaching/research experience in two or more of the following areas: Risk Management Portfolio Management Investment and Derivatives.The University of St. Thomas is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
