DescriptionTHIS IS A NON-TENURE TRACK PART-TIME 75% POSITION LOCATED IN KNOXVILLE TNThe University of Tennessee Health Science Center Knoxville Urology Department is seeking a part-time non-tenure track Assistant Professor. This position ensures compliance with ACGME oversight both clinically and educationally to assist in accomplishing the stability of the Urology Residency Program.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the College of Medicine educational mission with 80% effort in education-clinical (teaching of residents/medical students); 10% effort in research (clinical projects with residents/medical students across the spectrum of urology); and 10% effort in clinical (training residents/medical students in patient/clinical settings).This position serves as a mentor to the Urology residents and surgical training of residents and medical students.QualificationsEDUCATION: MD. Completion of Urology Residency.EXPERIENCE:Clinical experience in trauma assessment and trauma-based intervention required. Child welfare experience preferred.LICENSES: TN Medical License. UTCOMK also provides Continuing Medical Education services for faculty residents and practicing physicians in our region as well as Advanced Medical Simulation for students residents and faculty.The College of Medicine-Knoxville in partnership with the UTMC sponsors extensive translational research in both clinical and laboratory settings. The faculty collaborates with various institutions both regionally and nationally including other UTHSC campuses UTK Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and other health science center institutions.
