DescriptionAssistant Professor of Business Management - Tenure Track - Fall 2026The University of Maine at Augusta invites applications for a tenure-track Business Administration faculty member beginning fall 2026. The successful candidate will have experience teaching a wide range of business courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching in multiple modalities and working with students one-on-one. Programs are delivered on campus and using a network of University centers and sites across the state and internationally. The University offers general education and degree-specific courses using in-person hyflex distance synchronous and online instruction. The successful candidate will be active in university service through student advising curriculum development committee activity and community outreach. Duties of the position may also include supporting the universitys early college programming.Qualifications:Required:MBA with expectation of enrollment in a doctoral program within the first academic year; must have earned the degree before awarded tenureMinimum of 2 academic years experience teaching business management courses at the college level.Experience with distance education modalities (e.g. Brightspace Zoom Kaltura)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of office software applicationsPreferred:Doctoral Degree or Terminal degree in a business-related fieldProfessional Certification in a Business-related fieldMid-level to upper-level work experience in the Business-related fieldSalary: The normal hiring range is in the mid-to-upper 60s for a tenure-track position with a doctoral degree and is commensurate with qualifications and previous experience in accordance with the AFUM contract.Benefits: UMA offers awide range of benefits including tuition benefits for employees and dependents comprehensive insurance coverage including medical dental and vision life insurance short-term and long-term disability as well as retirement plan options.
