The position will start in September 2026.Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Offer courses in the Teacher Education Program, including teaching content and pedagogy courses with a focus on early childhood, elementary, and related areas, as well as in the General Studies curriculum – 24 credits hours (TCH) per Academic YearServe as a preceptor (academic advisor) to studentsEngage in appropriate scholarship including research, manuscript publications, and reputable presentations in the field of educationProvide service to the university, school, program and/or field of educationSupport Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and missionRequired Qualifications:Earned doctorate in a P-3 or K-6 education-related field (see list below) from an accredited institution of higher education. Candidates who are ABD at the start of the position can be considered.  ABD candidates will be hired at the Instructor level until the doctoral degree is completed.  Doctoral degree must be conferred within one (1) academic year of hire          • Early Childhood Education          • Elementary Education          • Curriculum/InstructionLicensure in early childhood and/or elementary education with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in P-3 or K-6 school settingsDemonstrate strong curriculum and teaching content knowledge, educational theory, and evidence-based practices that support learner development and variabilityPreferred Qualifications:P-3 experience in public school settings in the United StatesEvidence of teaching and/or preparation of in-service or preservice teachersExperience of successful teaching in a college or university settingEvidence of commitment to work in partnership with public schools, children and families, and/or other early childhood settingsNJ (or reciprocal) certification in P-3.
