The successful candidate will join core faculty housed in the School of General Studies in teaching first-year mathematics courses as part of an innovative, University-wide First-Year Studies program.Descriptions of Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Dean of General Studies, the responsibilities for Assistant Professor of Mathematics and First Year Studies include:Teaching (3-3 load) 4-credit courses and seminars in FRST mathematics such as mathematical thinking, quantitative reasoning, or algebraic problem solvingTeaching other courses in the interdisciplinary General Studies curriculum.
