The successful candidate will conduct the OSU Symphony Orchestra work with the OSU Opera and play a key role in recruiting and mentoring string majors and graduate students in orchestral conducting. This is a unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of musicians while collaborating with an exceptional team of faculty to advance a vibrant and evolving program.Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and/or graduate courses in conducting orchestral literature and pedagogy. Additionally the candidate will lead the OSU Youth and Community Orchestra a part of the Greenwood School of Music Preparatory Academy fostering community engagement and educational outreach.Other teaching assignments may include general education or specialized courses aligned with the candidates expertise.
