Job Description
We seek to hire an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in Comparative Political Economy. The substantive focus of research is open but we are particularly interested in candidates who study energy transitions natural resources governance and domestic environmental or climate politics. Regional focus and specialization are also open except for Latin America. The department is home to a range of approaches and methods which we see as a strength and successful candidates are expected to develop a strong record of research excellence. The teaching load is 2-2 equally split between the Department of Political Science and the Murphy Institute. The prospective candidate will contribute to the Political Science program at the undergraduate and graduate curricular levels. The candidate should also be able to offer a course on International and Comparative Political Economy for the Murphy Institute twice per year. The expected start date for this position is July 1 2026. For further questions about the position contact Prof. Moisés Arce ()PhD in Political Science preferred. Although ABD candidates will be considered a terminal degree is required by the time the Assistant Professor appointment begins.
