We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with proven experience managing industrial mechanical projects including millwright/rigging process piping utility piping and structural steel. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages that include medical dental vision life disability paid holidays paid vacation and 401K.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development management and storage of all project documentationActively participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure important job information is gathered before proceeding into construction phaseAssist the PM in preparing the construction budgetAssist in developing and managing the construction scheduleDevelop and write subcontracts and purchase orders as requestedContractually and collaboratively manage subcontractors and their related performanceCollect organize and distribute materials and equipment submittals as requiredCreate and distribute RFIs for clarification of project specificsWork with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing informationCollaboratively help price negotiate and formalize all changes in project scopeWork closely with Superintendents on their requests for resources materials equipment etc.Manage safety quality and productivity of the projectEnsure jobsite remains clean and orderlyQualificationsPrevious professional experience in project management or BS/BA degree in Building Science Engineering Construction Management or another related fieldPMP CCM or an equivalent certification would be considered an assetOSHA 30 First Aid and CPR TrainingExcellent knowledge of construction materials and equipmentPrevious experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skillsAbility to multitask and effectively manage time with a strong understanding of priorities in each phase of constructionAbility to budget schedule negotiate and control costsAbility to work collaboratively and plan aheadExcellent communication skills and interpersonal abilitiesHighly organizedKnowledge of MS Office SuiteKnowledge of construction safety and quality standardsUnderstanding of construction management processesFamiliarity with construction and project management software programsHigh degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents terms and conditionsJoin UsMullins Mechanical ranked #243 on the 2024 ENR Top Specialty Contractors list #48 in the Nation and #5 in the Southeast among Firms in Mechanical.
