Learn more about Sabey Corporation here: the Role:Under the supervision of the Project Manager the Assistant Project Manager assists in ensuring that projects are completed within scope on schedule and within budget. This position will work closely with the construction staff owner and design team in reviewing plans technical documents and answering questions regarding the project scope budget and schedule. The Sr. Project Engineer will oversee and manage RFIs issues from contractors and assist in the development of cost estimates and schedules. The ideal candidate will be expected to have knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures within the construction field. Candidate must be a self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision and possess a strong background in construction. Experience working with General Contractors particularly on data center projects is essential.The anticipated yearly salary range for this position is $95335 - $143003.Your ResponsibilitiesLead estimating/purchasing efforts in the final development of the various bid packages including receiving and leveling bidsAssist the Superintendent(s) in developing and maintaining the baseline construction scheduleCoordinate and track special inspection documentationCreate and manage RFIs from the field to the architect/engineer of recordMaintain update and distribute project plans and recordsManage processing submittals from subcontractors/vendors to the architect/engineer of record for approvalEstablishing and maintaining all project files relating to subcontracts bid package records plans specifications changes clarifications and as-built and closeout documents.Assist the Project Manager/owner in procuring building permitsFacilitate and document weekly project meetings and distribute notes accordinglyReview change orders from subcontractors for scope and price prepare and present them to the Project ManagerProvide field support to construction superintendents to ensure contract and quality complianceInteract with owner and clientsMinimum Qualifications4-year college degree in Construction Management Architecture Engineering or equivalent work experience Understanding of construction project plans and specifications 3 years of construction experience Proficiency in construction management/scheduling software and thorough knowledge of computer software applications preferredMinimum CompetenciesExperience with data center construction projects or similar critical facility/complex infrastructure construction projectsAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft suite and strong proficiency in Procore project management softwareExperience preparing and processing Method of Procedures (MOPs)Advanced knowledge of the English language must be able to demonstrate strong written and oral comprehension and expressionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholdersAbility to work both in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solvingWorking knowledge of construction engineering best practicesStrong organizational and time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlinesAbility to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to changesAptitude and willingness to learn and utilize AI tools and technologySabeys investment in YOU:Sabey is building an enduring next-generation company that inspires and values team-member greatness which is achieved through intentional and strategic focus on optimizing the strengths of individuals and the collective organization.
