Responsibilities Is responsible to understand, support, and carry out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies ADMINISTRATIVECollaborates with Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee development, evaluation, and revision of curricula to ensure compliance with USG, SACSCOC, Accreditation Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN), and Georgia Board of Nursing (GBON) guidelinesCollaborates with Director on program accreditation and approval activitiesPlans and leads nursing department meetingsRecruits, screens, hires, and evaluates full-time and part-time faculty and other staffOversees and delegates new faculty orientation and mentoringCoordinates classroom and clinical observationsCalculates and verifies nursing workload for full-time and part-time faculty Reviews and recommends full-time faculty for promotion, tenure, and pre/post tenureSupports the process toward resolution of complaints and grievances from students, parents, and other interested partiesCollaborates closely with clinical partners to ensure objectives of the program are metApproves course and clinical schedulesCoordinates selection of learning resources for nursing coursesCollaborates with the Director of Nursing and Dean of Health Sciences to promote support for the nursing department Serves on college committees as assigned TEACHING Teaches nine (9) credit hours for the academic yearMeets the common expectations of teaching faculty Performs other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications Graduate degree in the field of nursingAdministrative experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse objectives and department, usually interpreted to require three (3) to five (5) years of related experienceCurrent license as a Registered Nurse (RN) and eligible to practice in GeorgiaPossession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operatedProposed Salary Commensurate with experience and educationRequired Documents to Attach ResumeCover LetterAttach unofficial transcripts with your application.
