To assist the Superintendent and/or his/her designee(s) substantially and effectively in the task of providing leadership in the areas of operations: custodial/maintenance transportation food service and school safety. Additionally this position will provide oversight and support to district secondary schools grades 6-12.$125000 minimum salary. Final salary to be established by the Board of Education. Salary will be commensurate with both administrative experience and educational attainment. Additionally this position will provide oversight and support to district secondary schools grades 6-12.ESSENTIAL SKILLS:Must have effective oral and written communication skillsMust have strong interpersonal communication skillsMust have ability to lead groups to consensus and demonstrates superior skills in teamwork and positive culture developmentMust be able to make effective presentations to the Board of Education staff parents and communityGENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee and ensure effective implementation of all operations practices PreK-12Lead and provide oversight of district secondary schools 6-12Meet abide by and follow all federal/state guidelines to ensure compliance as required by lawMaintain confidential nature of all school related materialESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Custodial & MaintenanceSupervise Director of Custodial & MaintenanceSupervise Assistant Director of Maintenance/FacilitiesCustodial and maintenance staffClassrooms / offices / areasKitchensEquipmentSchedulingDevelopment and execution of long range facilities planFederal/state/local regulations (fire OSHA asbestos chemical use fire safety etc) District Safety & Emergency ManagementEmergency plan developmentTraining protocols and processesWork with local first responders to ensure awareness and consistencySpecialized training for all district personnel as warranted and necessaryAdherence to OSHATransportationSupervise Director of TransportationLocal maintenance of routes/bussesSupervise and provide oversight to district transportation contracted servicesCost management for all district transportation needsEquipment management of district transportation to ensure fleet readinessCustomer serviceTrip scheduling and structuresSummer School (integrated)Food ServiceSupervise Director of Food ServicesEmployees contracted services and substitutesSafety regulations for all district food service personnel (federal/state/local)Federal meal program training (integrated)Secondary Supervision of Schools Grades 6-12Assist and provide oversight and leadership to secondary administratorsBe the point person for issues related to 6-12 secondary schoolsEstablish routines and procedures for secondary schools to effectively meet the needs of all learnersSupervise long-term suspension hearingsWork alongside appropriate personnel to facilitate a positive learning and work environment for secondary staff and studentsTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: $125000 minimum salary. Two-year contract and twelve-month position with applicable health and life insurance annual vacation and paid leave allowance provided.EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Central Office Administrative Personnel.PHYSICAL MENTAL AND VISUAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk and sit. Additionally the employee may occasionally be required to push or lift up to 50 lbs as necessary for the safety and well-being of others.
