Must have at least 1 year of daycare/early childhood experience and be comfortable assisting with diapering and toileting. We serve children ages 6 months to 6 years in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.Position OverviewWe are seeking a caring and adaptable Assistant Teacher Floater to join our team. In this role, you will work across all classrooms (infant through kindergarten) to support Lead Teachers and provide consistent care and guidance for our students. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and helping children at every stage of development.ResponsibilitiesSupport classrooms across all age groups as needed (infant6 years old)Assist Lead Teachers with lessons, crafts, and daily activitiesProvide nurturing care, including diapering infants/toddlers and assisting with toileting for older childrenHelp maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environmentSupervise and actively engage students in learning and playBuild positive relationships with staff, students, and familiesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required; CDA or early childhood coursework a plusAt least 1 year of daycare or early childhood classroom experience requiredFlexible, reliable, and comfortable working with all ages (infants6 years)Childcare clearances, FBI background check, physical, and TB test (or willingness to obtain)COVID-19 vaccination requiredMontessori experience not required on-the-job Montessori training providedCompensation & Benefits$17$18/hour (includes paid breaks)If working full-time 40 hrs/week:$17/hr ~$18.76/hr effective$18/hr ~$19.86/hr effectivePTO (up to 4 days/year)Health Insurance401(k) with 100% match up to 4%Baby Bonding Leave (2 months unpaid + 2 weeks bonus pay after return)50% tuition discount for children/grandchildren enrolledGrowth opportunities and on-the-job Montessori training(Full-time benefits available after 90 days of employment; parental leave benefit after 6 months.)Why Join NHMA?Supportive, close-knit team environmentProfessional development and hands-on Montessori training providedMeaningful work nurturing children during their most formative yearsHow to ApplyApply directly through Indeed with your resume attached.
