Job Position: Substitute Assistant TeacherLocation: York, PA 17401Pay Rate: $19.50/hourShift: M-F 07:45AM -3:15PM 5 day a week sub.Teacher Assistant - Pre-K Counts ClassroomWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to join our Pre-K Counts classroom team. This position plays a vital role in supporting early childhood education by assisting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment for preschool-aged children. Responsibilities: Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.Assist in maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.Help with classroom management and promote positive behavior and social-emotional development.Provide individualized support to children as needed, including those with varying learning needs.Support children with basic needs such as toileting, meals, and rest time.Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff to support student success.Participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.Assist with classroom documentation and record-keeping. Requirements: Associate degree or higher, OR Completion of at least 2 years postsecondary study with a minimum of 60 college credits; OR possession of current CDA (Child Development Associate)Interest or experience in working with young children in an educational setting.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Willingness to participate in required training and clearances (e.g., child abuse, criminal background, FBI fingerprinting).
