General Summary of Position:The Management Department at the Robert J. Manning School of Business at the University of Massachusetts Lowell is accepting applications for a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to start Fall of 2026. The position is renewable annually potentially leading to an appointment of Associate Teaching Professor following five consecutive years of excellent performance evaluations.The Manning School of Business boasts a vibrant community of approximately 4000 undergraduate masters doctoral and grad certificate students and holds accreditation from AACSB International. Situated in a modern facility equipped with cutting-edge classrooms and a dedicated Trading Room housing 20 Bloomberg terminals the school offers an unparalleled learning environment. Just 30 miles northwest of Boston UMass Lowell serves as the second-largest public university in Massachusetts catering to over 18000 students.UMass Lowell recently earned the Carnegie Mellon R1 Research classification. The Management Department offers Ph.D. in Leadership and Organizational Studies a Management and Leadership concentration in the MBA and a Management concentration in the BSBA program. The incoming candidate would be expected to teach three courses per semester and to engage in departmental service. Service would include student advising mentoring and recruiting supporting undergraduate co-curricular activities and managing the trading room. The successful candidate could also be appointed as the Director of Undergraduate Student Success which provides an additional stipend.Minimum Qualifications (Required):Masters degree in Management or MBA with a Management concentration from an AACSB accredited school or be a CFA CharterholderThe ability to work effectively in teamsA record of high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levelsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Ability to teach a wide variety of Management classes at the graduate and undergraduate levelAbility to advise students supervise honors projects and mentor the student Management clubProfessional experience relevant to ManagementSpecial Instructions to Applicants:This is afull-time benefited Massachusetts Society of Professors/MTA/NEA union position.
