Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:The Assistant Racquet Sports Professional position is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the tennis and pickleball program. This individual should maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times and thus provide a first-class experience for our members and guests. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Teaching adult and junior lessons, clinics and groupsSummer Junior Tennis CampsProper use of point of sale softwareAnswer inquiries, Answer the phone promptly and politely, take court reservations, direct calls to appropriate areas, deliver messages, etc.Assist members regarding scheduling and facility policiesAssist with daily tasksAssist with keeping all areas of facility clean and organizedRequirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to work with a wide variety of ages from pre-school thru adultFlexible work schedule (i.e. nights, weekends, holidays) and willingness to work whenever necessaryExcellent communication skills - both verbal and writtenAbility to maintain focus in a fast-paced environmentExcellent guest service skillsMust be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situationsMust be respectful and friendly to our members, guests, visitors, spectators, and fellow team membersMust take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facilityCommitment to the safety and well-being of othersWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Must be able to lift 40 lbs. waist highWill be required to stand for extended periods of timeAble to enter information on computersMust comply with safety and health code standardsMust wear proper attireAble to run/walk as neededPREFERRED:2 Years Teaching experience – Private club experience preferred USPTA or USPTR Certified Knowledgeable about PickleballEvent managementCustomer service experience
