George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Masons academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:Serve as communications liaison between the Director Dewberry School of Music and students faculty and the University community;Manage calendar/schedule for the Director Dewberry School of Music;Schedule meetings record minutes and prepare meeting technology for the School of Music;Ensure efficiency of academic processes e.g. faculty and staff searches supervising student office assistants and marketing interns;Manage office and assist new faculty and staff members;Create graphic designs for events in Canva or Photoshop;Design bi-monthly Constant Contact newsletters promoting upcoming concerts initiatives announcements etc.; andCurate social media platforms including Facebook Instagram and X with the assistance of an intern.Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;Knowledge of performing arts;Must navigate databases spreadsheets Microsoft Office suite social media and Canva or Photoshop with ease;Attention to detail in scheduling meetings with appropriate follow-up on email conversations; andExcellent writing and oral communication skills; andDetail-oriented in all aspects.Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated ability working with a diverse population of artists students faculty staff and community members.Instructions to Applicants:For full consideration applicants must apply for theAssistant to the Director & Marketing Coordinator at and submit the online application to include three professional references with contact information and provide a cover letter and resume for review.Posting Open Date: November 20 2025Posting Close Date: December 7 2025Required Experience:IC Key Skills Bidding,Customer Support,Data Structures,Domestic,Fire And Gas Employment Type : Part-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
