This is a great opportunity for an insurance professional with at least one year of experience who wants to deepen their underwriting expertise in a fast-growing insurtech company.You’ll help us write profitable business, support our agents and customers, and ensure we deliver world-class service to landlords nationwide. You’ll be surrounded by high-performing teammates and gain hands-on experience in modern underwriting practices at one of the most innovative companies in landlord insurance.This is a full-time, in-office position based in Overland Park, KS.What You'll DoLearn and apply the underwriting appetite and guidelines of our programs — we aim to say yes whenever possible while mitigating riskWork closely with underwriters on endorsements, inspections, renewals, applications, and quotesProvide timely support to internal and external agents, often addressing time-sensitive requests that help define our brandProcess work across internal systems including Salesforce; quickly become a subject matter expert on our platformsTroubleshoot complex customer service and underwriting issues such as billing, inspections, nuanced customer situations, and risk profilesMaintain high standards of accuracy in documenting underwriting files in our policy administration systemWhat We’re Looking ForRequired:At least 1 year of experience in an insurance environment, ideally in property & casualtyBasic understanding of insurance coverage, products, and carrier rating engines; experience with dwelling fire or homeowners underwriting a plusSuperior verbal and written communication skills; able to remain calm, clear, and professional under pressureStrong computer skills; quick to learn new software and adept with online toolsThrives under pressure, manages a large workload independently, and never says “that’s not my job”You’re hungry to accelerate your career growth at an early-stage tech company; you’re motivated to hustle and make an impactCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $70,000–$85,000 per yearEquity: Stock options in a fast-growing companyTime Off: 3 weeks PTO + 6 federal holidaysInsurance: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA, FSARetirement: 401(k)Perks: Free snacks, team lunches, collaborative cultureLocation & ScheduleOffice located in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City Metro)In-office schedule required; standard Monday–Friday business hoursSteadily is building a workplace environment of team members who are passionate about working together in person.
