Assistant Warehouse Coordinator at Alsum Farms

Description: Alsum Farms & Produce Inc., a grower, packer, and shipper of potatoes & onions located in Friesland, WI is looking for a full-time Assistant Warehouse Coordinator. You will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming products and materials. You will assist with picking and shipping orders; manage, organize, and retrieve products in the warehouse.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to review incoming deliveriesUnload trucks, checking all deliveries to ensure they match purchase ordersInspect fresh produce for qualityHandle necessary paperwork and receive produce inventory into company ERPLabel all fresh produce for traceabilityOrganize and put-away fresh produce on appropriate racks and shelvesMaintain inventory control by recording stock locationsPlan for anticipated next day shipment by rotating and staging itemsWork with Warehouse Supervisor to improve cooler organization and clearly identify stock locationsMaintain a safe and clean working environmentOperates forklift truck as neededDocument all related activities and complete forms and reportsPerforms the job of Order Picker when assistance is not requiredPerform other related duties as necessary or assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least two years of work experience in a warehouse requiredJOB DETAILSJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $20.25 - $22.45 per hour depending on experienceJob Schedule: This position will average around 85 hours per biweekly pay period. Start times for positions vary based on the day as noted and end times will vary based on workload.
