Job Description

The Department is committed to collaborating with schools districts educators students families businesses nonprofits and all stakeholders to achieve our educational goals.Manages and oversees grants and project related activities for the Office of Community SchoolsDevelops and manages the grant allocations;Oversees sub-recipient monitoring to include development and implementation of policies and procedures for monitoring guidelines:Evaluates implementation efforts of programs and recommends improvements.Manages grant implementation projects and processes throughout the grant lifecycle to ensure clear expectation setting and evaluationEstablishes data collection and reporting process for the grant awardees.Analyzes data to provide improvement recommendations to internal and external entities.Assists in overseeing day-to-day administration of grants;Monitors grant and project timelines;Facilitates and conducts effective project planning (e.g. evaluations budget finance reports request for proposal);Research policies and regulations to ensure general procedural complianceStays current with other states trends and related research;Develops the comprehensive plan for the grants including a competitive grant application process including coordination with intra-agency offices;Oversees budget contracts and implementation schedule of grant opportunities;Complies with federal and state laws and regulations;Delivers training and provides technical assistance to support grant and subgrant applicants and recipients; Conducts trainings for grant stakeholders and school-based personnel related to policies procedures best practices and data reporting;Coordinates proposal review teams;Prepares for state and federal audits and program reviews;Monitors deliverables and terms of contract with vendors to ensure compliance with statement of work;Identifies benefits and risks to the successful implementation of grant projects relative to established timelines;Supervises assigned OCS staffPerforms other related duties as assigned:Unusual Working Conditions: May require travel throughout State of Ohio & may require overnight stay (Must be willing & able to secure a valid drivers license OR supply your own transportation).At the State of Ohio we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans.
