Job Summary We are seeking an Entry level Associate Attorney to join our Divorce and Family law firm. In this role, you will provide legal counsel, perform legal research, draft documents, and update and maintain files. Must be a recent law school graduate and have passed the Michigan Bar Exam. You will gain experience and have the opportunity to learn from more experienced attorneys. This position is ideal for someone seeking to develop and grow in their law career. Must love litigation and family law.
Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of divorce and family law cases
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and client meetings
• Attend and take depositions
• Conduct legal research and case preparation
• Communicate with clients in a professional and compassionate manner
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to achieve successful client outcomes

Qualifications
Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
• Litigation skills
• Must be a member of the Michigan State Bar Association
